ClearAccess uses one organization model for different controlled environments. Estate is the primary profile, but Schools, Offices, Shared Spaces, Mixed Use organizations, Events, and Other organizations are first-class Organization Types.
Choose a type first
The Organization Type determines the words people see and which extensions are available:
- Estate: homes, households, residents, gates, and Estate Dues.
- School: campuses, blocks, classrooms, students, staff, and school events.
- Office: offices, floors, teams, employees, and workplace visitors.
- Shared Space: venues, rooms, desks, hosts, and bookings.
- Mixed Use: a combination of residential, retail, office, or community spaces.
- Events: venues, event areas, attendees, invitations, and event staff.
- Other: a controlled environment with organization-defined labels.
Keep physical concepts separate
Use these concepts deliberately:
| Concept | Meaning | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Postal Address | Where a property or organization is located | No 15 Idowu Ajao Street |
| Location | An area or container inside the organization | Block 1, Floor 3, Campus A, Hall A |
| Assignable Space | A space that can be assigned to people | Duplex, Flat 3, Classroom 4, Shop, Suite 4 |
| Access Point | Where a credential is checked | Main Gate, lobby door, barrier, checkpoint |
For example, No 22 Adediran Ajao Street can have Location Block 2, Assignable Space Suite 4,
and space type Mini Flat. A school can have a Postal Address, campus Locations, classroom Spaces,
and an Access Point at the entrance without pretending that the school is an estate.
People and privacy
ClearAccess is intended to hold the minimum operational identity needed for access workflows: a stable ID, username, organization membership, and space assignment. An organization may keep more sensitive internal records in its own controlled system. Do not put unnecessary identity evidence in member profiles or access credentials.
Organization switching
A user can create or belong to multiple Organizations and switch between them. Every request is scoped to the active Organization. Switching changes the current context; it does not combine members, Spaces, Access Points, payments, or audit history.
