General Questions

What is ClearAccess?

ClearAccess is a digital visitor management platform that replaces paper logs with secure, QR-code-based verification for estates and offices.

Does it require a dedicated app?

No. While we have a web dashboard for management, residents can generate passes via WhatsApp, and guests can view their passes in any mobile browser.


For Residents

What if my guest doesn't have a smartphone?

You can send them the 6-digit text code accompanying the QR code. The guard at the gate can manually type this code into their scanner to verify the visit.

Can I revoke a pass after sending it?

Yes. Go to Access Management in your dashboard, find the pass, and select "Cancel". The code will immediately become invalid.

How do I top up my wallet?

You can top up using Paystack in the Wallet section of your dashboard.


For Security Teams

What if the internet is down at the gate?

ClearAccess is designed with "offline-first" principles. The scanner can continue to function for a limited time during connectivity issues. Once the connection is restored, all records will sync automatically.

The QR code won't scan. What do I do?

  1. Ensure the guest's screen brightness is turned up.
  2. Ensure there is enough light on the screen.
  3. If it still fails, manually enter the 6-digit code provided by the guest.

For Managers

How do I add new residents?

Use the Members tab to invite residents by their phone number. They will receive a link to set up their account.

Can I export movement logs?

Yes. Managers can export all arrival and departure data as a CSV or PDF from the Analytics section.
