Learn how to use ClearAccess as a household member or secondary staff.

Associate Guide

An Associate is a user linked to a primary Member account. This role is designed for family members, domestic staff, or long-term guests who need consistent access to the estate without the administrative burden of managing a household account.

Getting Started

How to become an Associate

You cannot sign up as an Associate directly. You must be invited by a Member.

  1. Ask your household head (Member) to invite you via their Household Management page.
  2. You will receive a link to sign up or log in.
  3. Once joined, you will automatically see your household's access features.

What You Can Do

1. Request Guest Passes

As an Associate, you can generate QR codes for your own guests. These passes will use the household's shared wallet (if applicable) or follow the household's global access rules.

2. View History

You can see the history of guests you have personally invited. You cannot see the guests invited by other members of the household.

Limitations

To maintain security and clear accountability, Associates have the following restrictions:

  • No Billing Access: You cannot view or manage the household wallet.
  • No Member Management: You cannot invite other Associates or remove people from the household.
  • Dependency: If the primary Member's account is suspended (e.g., due to move-out or levy non-compliance), your access is also suspended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have my own login? Yes. Every Associate has their own email and password to access the platform.

What happens if I move out? The primary Member or an Estate Manager must remove you from the household list. Once removed, you can be invited to a different household if needed.

Can I see who else is in my household? Yes, you can see the names of other Associates in your household via the Profile page, but you cannot edit their details.
