Events are a first-class Organization Type and a reusable capability for other organizations. An Event belongs to an Organization and may use its own venue Locations, Access Points, admission policy, invitations, attendees, and attendance records.
Event terminology
- Event: the occasion or program being operated.
- Event Area: a Location such as Hall A, a campus block, or an outdoor zone.
- Attendee: a person invited or registered for the Event.
- Event Staff: an authenticated operator who performs admission actions.
- Admission record: the durable outcome of a credential check, including the operator and Access Point used.
An Event may be hosted by an Estate, School, Office, Shared Space, or a dedicated Events Organization. The data model preserves the Event ID, attendee IDs, timestamps, attendance status, and audit history when an organization is migrated from the older estate event records.
Safe admission
Event QR codes and member credentials must be treated as security-sensitive. A copied credential is not enough to gain entry: the scanner checks its signature, Organization, Event, status, expiry, replay controls, and current policy. Each operator uses an individual account so the attendance and admission record identifies who carried out the action.
Offline admission uses a signed, time-limited manifest containing the minimum data needed for local verification. The device stores the outcome and uploads it when connectivity returns; stale policy, conflicts, and suspicious replay are sent for review.
